carl and tews, thanks! i've tried almost everything except testing the ram part. i will do so in awhile and let you know of the outcome =)
Thanks for posting back. I believe you will be able to solve the problem.

chee, i'm sorry but i dun understand how would reverting back to windows xp solve the prob?
You are right. That is simply admitting defeat and going back to obsolete technology.

hi guys, i'm back together with the BSOD... =(

i ran the memtest86 and it passed.. its still running for the 4th time (i'm using my laptop) ... i also downloaded furmark to see if its the gfx card... apparently there is also no issue there...

has anybody taken a look at the dmp file? or does it show any indication which hardware is causing the BSOD or does it simply say its a "its a hardware prob, sucks to be you"?

All I am saying is that this is problem that simply can't be solve unless you use another OS like windows XP and I am serious, I am not admitting defeat but everyday people are facing the same problem. It's like AIDS but worse when you think you cured it and you wait for few months and BAM you get BSOD and your heart stops for a moment and it comes and goes but the biggest problem is you don't what's causing it. According to my computer every time it crashes it was cause by something different. I just bought Windows 7 because I am ready for the worst I am not gonna wrestle with this problem all I want to do is to play DotA

hi chee, not flaming you or anything (i'm seriously kinda noob at this kind of stuff, i had my friend help me out for most of the things before i came here) but if its a hardware problem like tews and carl mentioned, wouldn't the problem still persist even if i changed the OS?

Unless you take the time to learn how to troubleshoot your problem, it will be next to impossible to resolve... I asked some basic questions in another thread in order to assist you, yet all you do is go from thread to thread spreading the same uninformed FUD.... You may be correct in one thing.... XP may be the OS for you...

    Chee

Um, no. The op has hardware problems and he will still have hardware broblems if he reverts back to a different OS.

You correct. If you were to revert back to XP you would still have exactly the same hardware and exactly the same hardware problem. Stick to it we will figure out what it is

    hi guys,

i guess chee is just trying to be helpful in his own way... anyway chee, like i said, i'm not getting that shuttering screen thing you mentioned. so i guess our problems are different in their own way. i appreciate your inputs on this matter but i guess at this point of time reverting back to windows xp is not an option for me cos i built this system from scratch and don't have an older windows version to rollback to. haha!

in the meantime, thanks guys for staying with me to solve this nonsense! i'm still doing the memtest.. its in its running the test for the 4th time now going to 5th soon.. nothing wrong there so far... and once its past its 5th pass i'll be back to square 1... any ideas anybody?

[2-Int] Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try

won't be able to do step 9 until tomorrow thou...

any other ideas guys? has anybody taken a detailed look at the dmp file?

I really appreciate all the help i've gotten far but does anybody have any other suggestions?

    Jereld

    -edit-
i've also ran memtest86 for 5 passes and Furmark stability test for my gfx card and it passed as well...
