BSOD problems
Hi all,
I'm new here and I was wondering if I could get some help please? I recently (3days ago) built my own computer with the following stats, Intel Core i5 750 4GB ram 64-bit Windows 7 MSI R5850 Twin Frozr II gfx card (don't know if you need more information) I've been getting BSOD quite randomly but the past 3 crashes occurred while i was playing bad company 2. I've had someone telling me that it could be caused by a faulty gfx card. I was wondering if anybody can help me verify the root of the problems before the one week 1 to 1 exchange policy on the computer parts expire? eventviewer has logged my latest BSOD as the following bugcheck error. The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xfffffa8004cbe028, 0x00000000fe000040, 0x0000000000300136). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 060210-16660-01. I have attached the .dmp file if anybody needs it. I'm really hoping that you guys can help me find a solution or the root of this problem. Thank you! Jereld |

btw, I was playing Bad company 2 for about one and a half hours before the crash happened.
GPU-Z logged the gpu temp at 64 deg. So I'm guessing that its not overheating... i've had all my drivers updated including my bios. and upon a friend's advice i have increased my ram voltage from the default 1.500V to 1.527V. please let me know if you guys need more details. Thank you! |

Did your screen ever shutter and staed like that while having a BSOD if so then you're just like the rest of us nothing can fix your problem changing everything won't help and reformatting it won't do it either. The only solution I see is reverting back to Windows XP. Trust it's not a hardware related problem and it usually happens to custom build computers like yours and mine. But I doubt is has anything to do with hardware since my mobo is an ASUS and processor is an AMD and yours are completely different from mine look at my thread revenge thead and you'll see what I mean by shuttering screen.

nope, there wasn't any shuttering. it just died. went to the BSOD and before i could capture any information on the BSOD it rebooted.
btw i'm using MSI P55-CD53 mobo. |

Your .dmp file shows a Stop Error of 0x124 hardware fault... Read this thread for what a 0x124 error is and possible solutions.. [2-Int] Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try

Exactly sometimes it does that to black screen next thing you know. Your computer restarts, although sometimes you will get shuttering screen of your last display, this could be cause by your monitor having a low bit rate like mine is 60 so sometimes I'll get that but your problem and mine are the same
