Hello,
Since the 26/05/2010 I've been having BSOD's occur a few minutes after I load up any type of game (WoW/Just Cause 2 etc). I have no issues browsing the net, watching videos, listening to music and leaving my computer on.
I've run memtest for 5 passes and it has shown no errors. I believe I have updated all my drivers but I could be wrong.
I think I've correctly ziped and attached the minidump files required.
If someone could please shed some light on what's happening it would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Oh I also forgot to mention, I ran sfc /scannow and it did come back saying that somehing was corrupt but Windows couldn't fix it. I can't seem to access the CBS.log (Access Denied). How do I access this and then how do I got about finding the solution? Do I zip it and load it up here?
Ok
First
If sfc cant repair the problem it usually means it doesnt have that particular file in its database. the only way to fix it is to do a repair install to find and install it. For the repair install you will need a restore point, a backup, and a win 7 dvd (just in case)
Second
the DMP's. I did the most recent five for expediency and there are multiple problems.
several were casued by memory. I noticed you said you have run a memory test. Which one and for how long I dont know. You also need to test the mobo memory slots one at a time. Memtest needs to be run for AT LEAST 5 runs.
the other causes for the BSOD's varied, which makes me think hardware. use these to find out what it means and what to try. https://www.sevenforums.com/crash-loc...-what-try.html
Because of the corrupt files (SFC) you cant address the rest till you fix those
Let us know if you need help with this
