    My PC is randomly Freezing

    Dear.

I like to ask about my PC problem.

I have PC with P4 CPU 3.0GHz, 3GB Mem and install Win 7 Ultimate 32Bit.
It was working properly since January till now.
Last week my PC was start freezing and needed to manually restart.
I came and see this forum then installed MSE software from Microsoft and
scanned it. Found out some virus and my PC working properly nearly 1
week. Before MSE install, i have Avira and now using both.
Now I faced the same problem yesterday and all the time today.
Its freezing random order and make me annoyed.

So I like to know about the problem and how to fix it.

Please kindly help me how to check the problem and how to trace.
Is there any hardware problem or Windows problem?

    How to diagnose this problem?

    Pls kindly help me.

    Yours.

It is a bad practice to run two anti-virus. They all interact with the operating system in similar ways at similar places and tend to conflict badly. Please remove avira and retest. Thank you.

First, either get another 1GB RAM stick or remove one. You've got 3 and the motherboard only works right with 2 or 4. Make sure all the RAM sticks match exactly.

Next, what is the nature of the "freeze". Can you still move the mouse pointer on the screen or not? If so can you press control+alt+delete to show the options it provides? Does the computer get slower and slower and then freeze or does it just freeze all at once? Dump files won't do us any good with a "freeze" situation.
