    BSOD Issues

    hello all,

    I've been reading the threads here for a while trying to solve my problem, but i've decided to post a dump and see if anyone more acquainted with these issues can help me out.

    This is the latest one I've received. The most frequent error I get is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, followed by KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.

    Ntoskrnl.exe seems to be in all of them.

    This seems to happen randomly, I'm not sure exactly what the issue is, I've updated the drivers to the best of my ability, I've installed the latest AI suite etc.

    I play World of Warcraft and it seems to happen a lot when i'm playing. I had to RMA my Graphics card (HD 5770) and i've been using the one it replaced (geforce 8800). Since the RMA took so long, I since reinstalled windows 64 bit from 32 bit to utilize more memory, so i'm not sure if theres something going on there, the radeon has not been used yet in this install.

    I'll be checking this forum frequently, so if more information is needed, i'll promptly post it if possible.

    Thank You!

    Update:

    after looking at a few more threads, i noticed that some people are asking for more dumps, I'm going to attach the whole folder.

    Hi -

    The summary info from the 15 mini kernel dumps is at end of post.

    Update your Marvell Yukon Ethernet driver. Get the specific model from Device manager -
    Code:
    yk62x64.sys  Wed May 20 04:14:06 2009 (4A13BBCE)
    START | type devmgmt.msc

    Marvell Support --> Marvell: Support

    Your system appears to me to be missing Windows Updates, based specifically on the timestamp of the DirectX Graphics Kernel. Yours = July 2009; It was updated in October/ November 2009. Also, the NT Kernel in your system = January 2010; based on 1,000's of memory dumps I've seen along with my own Windows 7 x64 system, NT should have timestamp = February 2010.

    Check Windows Updates --> www.update.microsoft.com

    Validate your OS at WGA --> www.microsoft.com/genuine

    Regards. . .

    Thank You for your response, I'll try this and post back!

    Thank You!

    Update:

    I've done the above and everything is fine so far. Obviously the nature of the issue is intermittent so i won't know until it happens.

    I had one question though. Will these windows updates update the directx and nt kernel? Or is there something else I should do in addition to this?

    Thanks again!

    Hello,

    Ok another bsod here is the dump for it

    -edit-

    Had a random shutdown, it was in the event log but no dump for it, was also under kernel-power
    another bsod

    This second link is a BSOD I had late last night.

    One other thing to note, I found an update I must have missed and installed it. I haven't had a BSOD yet, but you know how it goes =).

    Thank you again!

    I think that windows update that squeaked through may have been the NT kernel update and/or DirectX kernel update, that would seem plausible.

    I'm hoping the streak continues.

    But yes, that was a very impressive analysis, I haven't spent enough time looking through the debugger itself to figure out how to give such an in depth analysis, like where the driver timestamps are etc. etc. I'm still a newbie
