Try this free stress test: Free Software - GIMPS
    Prime95 Setup:
    - extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
    - double click on the executable file
    - select "Just stress testing"
    - select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight you may want to run the "Small FFTs" test instead.
    - "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.
Try this free video stress test: FurMark: Graphics Card Stability and Stress Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net
    FurMark Setup:
    - If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
    - In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test
    - Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
    - Click "Quit" to exit

    So speedfan readings look alright?

I will run those 2 tests as soon as Memtest has run a few cycles again. I have been running for about 3 hours now with no errors but I just want to make sure. I kind of hope it is memory because it won't put the whole rig down while waiting for replacements. Thank you for all of your help Jonathon! I will update as soon as I get some answers!

    Yep, Speedfan looks okay.

It could also be hard drive, motherboard, CPU, or power supply.

I have suspected my HD being a little slow since I installed it. Any way to test to see if it is the HD?

so after running Prime95, and memtest86, AND the HD Software from WD......EVERYTHING PASSED with no errors....I can't get the PC to do anything except for go to desktop and then it freezes after a few minutes. I guess I'm just stuck with a big POS. I have no idea what to do anymore and I sure don't have the money to replace stuff. I have have tried calling DFI many times in order to get them to RMA my MB and they have no idea what they are doing and can't understand a word I am saying. On top of that their website is in TW and no one ever responds to anything I post. I appreciate your help here on the forums!

Pc has been working fine for about 2 weeks since you guys helped me with my last BSOD........and today there is a new one. I'm getting so frustrated with this crap. It seems like every time there are updates for Win 7 there is a new problem.

    Thanks for help!

This crash was probably caused by WDM.exe (windows desktop manager) which is part of windows 7. Because it is, I would run a system file check to verify and repair your system files

To do that type cmd in the search bar, then right click and run as admin. Finally type SFC /SCANNOW.

Let us know the result because you may need to run it more than once.

Let us know if you need assistance
