Good job on the system specs, and screen shot of DM.

Can we get some info on your PSU?
You might have to open the case and look at the information on the PSU.

Show us the DRV_1 VOL1 HDD information. This is your 78GB HDD.

This also shows (107MB) 0% free space, move some files out of it until you get a minimum of 10% free.
    This can cause crashes.

Can you expand the 'Status' tab in Disk Management?

    Looking for the 'Active' designation.

    CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI is my power supply. Also I can't access the 78GB HDD, I can only access the 600GB.

Your 78GB HDD has the boot files, the 'Active' designation, so when you disconnect it your Win7 HDD won't be able to boot.

Follow Petey7's suggestion on post #97.
Un-plug the 78GB HDD and run Startup Repair minimum of three times.
This should put the necessary boot files on the Win7 HDD.

You can still boot to the old OS on the 78GB HDD by choosing it in the BIOS when you bootup.

You need to make some free space on the 78GB HDD before you can use it.

Nice PSU BTW, same as mine.

I've done the repair install four times with no luck: I restart and everytime it boots from the disk. When I remove the disk, I get the INSERT SYSTEM DISK error. A couple things I noticed:

    • It takes forever for the Windows 7 Utility to load off of the CD.
    • After I click Repair and it gives me the System Recovery Options, there is no operating system listed. A note says "If your operating system isn't listed, click Load Drivers and then install drivers form your hard disks" but I have no idea what it's referring to.
    • Once I click Startup Repair it literally takes 15 seconds so I don't know if that's too fast and nothing is happening or what.

Should I keep trying the Startup Repair? Or do I need to do something different because my OS isn't listed?

Should I just plug in the old HDD, back up files, and reinstall?

If startup repair didn't work after 4 times, then you can try How to Do a Repair Install to Fix Windows 7.

If you want a 100% new start then use How to Do a Clean Installation with Windows 7.

Be sure to disconnect the old HDD for either installation.
If you use or want to use AHCI, select it in your BIOS before the installation.

    Let us know your progress.

I decided to wipe clean and start over. I installed fresh Windows 7 Pro x64 with only the one hard drive plugged in. Everything went fine until I got home today, turned on my computer, and after about 20 minutes it blue screened while I was browsing the web. It got stuck in a boot loop and I had to power it down manually before it would fully start up. Attached is the minidump.

Sorry to learn you are still having BSOD problems.

Error code 3B, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION - usual causes are system service, device driver, graphics driver, ?memory.

The dump file shows error c0000005, memory corruption.

After a clean install, I suspect a hardware problem. So far you have-

This is what you have done to date:
    1. You ran Memtest and it found no problems.
    2. You ran SFC with no problems.
    3. Bitdefender is uninstalled and replaced with MSE
    4. You have updated your video drivers and your Rt64win7.sys - Realtek 8101E/8168/8169 NDIS 6.20 64-bit Driver for Realtek 8101E/8168/8169 PCI/PCIe Adapters.
    5. You ran FurMark and it found no problems with your video card.
    6. You ran Prime and it found no problems with your CPU and your CPU temp leveled.
    7. Driver Verifier causes crashes during bootup and it is currently turned off.
    8. You did a complete reinstall of Win 7 with format.

I know that you ran disk check. Did it show any errors?
