I am not that happy about MSE, sometimes it just turns off the virus protection, and tells me to turn it on again. And when I do that, it is activated for about 10 seconds and turns of again, and I have to reboot, to get it to work.

I suggest posting in the Security section of this forum to get that issue sorted out: System Security - Windows 7 Forums

But why do Eset NOD32 or Kaspersky cause a BSOD? I am installing MSE right now, I would just like to know why it is better..

MSE- Microsoft Security Essentials. It is by Microsoft, who know Windows well enough to create an AV that works well with it.

ESET is good, at least the updated version. It is not free, which is why I recommend MSE.

Kaspersky is well known for causing BSODs, and it is not free as well.

Well okay, I thought NOD32 was great and light on my system, so I was willing to buy it. But I didn't knew that Kaspersky caused problems..

yeah, Kaspersky run well in many machines but not well in many as well. Others such as Norton or AVG are known for causing problem too my friend (I was victim of free AVG). We recommended you to uninstall those heavy AV just for testing purpose. It might not be the cause on yours (we don't know yet)

Wish u all the best my friend, if you bought it already, it's not bad at all, always can switch back to it if it's not the cause

    Cheer
