I sure won't argue that.

If it works properly, now and all you did was uninstall Kis, then yes. I think it was a conflict between kis and another program, since you said that it worked for 2 years.

Brian, I honestly don't know and I don't know if anyone does. You are not the first to have had this problem with KIS by any means. If it helps, most of the third party anti-malware suites create problems with Win 7.

thats ok i think this is the best forum site for windows 7 on the net. well its done the first scan and everything seems ok so i guess i will get back to you if any bsod pops up i will write on kis forums and tell them of the problems i have had seeing that the new kiss 2011 has only just come out of beta stage and maybe they need to do bug checks so they can fix it.

Brian, thank you very much for the rep. That was thoughtful of you. I am glad you are running smoothly.

Don't forget to update those older drivers and/or the programs they are associated with. However, run for a while first and create a restore point or a system image before you upgrade.

If you have any further problems, be sure to post back and let us know. I have enjoyed working with you.

Richard, thank you for your help. We do make a good team - except you are much faster than me - no fair!

Defender not needed with MSE. MSE has the defender function included.
