whats your valued opinion what caused the last bsod ? i have totally removed kis and put Microsoft in its place kaspersky have been good they are looking into the problem but until they can release a more stable kis i will not put it back on

Well your bug check is a 101, which means
that the Usual Causes are: Driver, Bios bug, hardware defect.

After reading the entire thread I think the answer may be drivers, since you removed the Anti Virus. Jon has a good feel for these things and so does USASMA. I would go with a driver verifier test, but will defer to Jon, who is already on this thread. Jon may go in that direction if he deems it appropriate, too. BIOS would be tested as a last resort.

Since all the reports showed a 101 error, I am leaning away from hardware at this juncture.
