Windows 7 Blue Screen almost daily now, especially while using WMC

I've been running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 since its release and have only lately been experiencing this issue, but a couple times a day now, particularly while watching something on Xbox 360 through Windows Media Center and while playing games on the computer, my machine will blue screen and crash with the following error messages:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 50
    BCP1: FFFFF3000A327478
    BCP2: 0000000000000000
    BCP3: FFFFF880053D1A7E
    BCP4: 0000000000000007
    OS Version: 6_1_7600
    Service Pack: 0_0
    Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\062010-19562-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-32775-0.sysdata.xml

    Read our privacy statement online:
Windows 7 Privacy Statement - Microsoft Windows

If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline:

I've attached the minidumps from the last few crashes in the hopes that someone will be able to recommend a hardware or software fix. If need be, I will replace some hardware, but I'm not even sure of where to begin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Welcome!

I suspect the problem is being caused by your outdated ASACPI.sys driver. Please see this post to resolve it: https://www.sevenforums.com/787431-post2.html

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads

    Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for posting so quickly! I tried updating my ASACPI.sys driver and also uninstalled my Razer Lachesis drivers and tried using Windows Media Center while playing Civilization 4 and experienced a few game crashes that didn't take out my whole system until just a moment ago. This time, however, it gave a different error message, so I'm wondering if you'd be so kind as to take a look at the attached minidump and let me know if there is anything else I could update/fix/replace.

Thank you again for your help!

I used Driver Verifier to generate this minidump, if it helps to diagnose.

    Thanks again!

It looks as if PeerBlock is the cause. Please remove it and see what happens.

Thanks for the tip, Jonathan. Before I had a chance to uninstall Peer Block, I came home from work with a notice that my computer had crashed (1st dump in attached zip), even though I wasn't doing anything on it. I then uninstalled PeerBlock, and ran verifier and immediately got another crash after reboot (2nd dump in attached zip).

Because it crashed right away, I'm wondering if PeerBlock wasn't the culprit, but would you be so kind as to check the dumps and verify?

    Thanks again for your help!

Keep verifier running...the last one didn't tell us the cause.

    DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (c4)
A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught. This is
because the driver was specified in the registry as being suspect (by the

If the driver attempts to corrupt the system, bugchecks 0xC4, 0xC1 and 0xA will

Since I uninstalled Peerblock and installed the latest beta version of it, I haven't experienced a crash.

It's only been a day, so I can't say anything for certain, but I'll post a reply if I experience any more crashes. I really want to thank you for your help!

So with my luck I had another crash and have attached the dump from it. I'm really hoping it still isn't PeerBlock as I had updated it to the latest beta, which is supposed to have many bug fixes, but I'd rather have a working computer than be able to block off certain internet traffic to one that keeps crashing.

When you have the chance, would you be able to take a look at the attached dump and let me know what caused the crash? Thanks again for your help!
