BSOD

Hi, I have Windows 7 home premium 64-bit installed in my HP laptop. For the past 4 months, i experienced a display driver problem whenever i'm playing games installed in my laptop. I just ignored it, since after a few seconds, it will show a message that "the display something has successfully recovered."

Then, there's an unexpected shutdown. The windows just shutdown by itself without any reason/error messages to explain why it did so. Again, i ignored it because when i open the laptop, no problem was encountered.

The most recent is the BSOD. I have HPMedia Smart DVD on, then i tried to open Window Media Player, when BSOD occur. It totally confused me, what i did wrong. I experienced HPMedia Smart Music/Window Media Player not responding/hangs, that resulted to the explorer.exe not responding/hang.

It's the first time i opened Window Media Player, that sent my OS crashing down.
Though this the 2nd BSOD. I cannot remember the 1st instance.

I tried system restore, but it failed with an error 0x80070005. So, i turned off Avira guard. 2nd system restore, different error 0x8000ffff.

Please, can anyone help me with my problem? Thank you, in advance.

The bugcheck pointed to 2 stop error code, 1E and 116. For the stop 116, probably you are having issue with video card, please follow the instruction in the article below, and please download and install fresh copy of your intel graphic card driver:

The stop code 1E with exception code ffffffffffc0000005 made me think about it might be memorry corruption. You might want to download third party called memtest86, burn it to cd and let it run for at least 7 passess

Hi tuan, thanks for helping me out. I'm not quite done. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do with the Cyberlink FCL driver. How do i know that the 000.fcl i'm going to download is a valid application and not a virus, trojan, spyware or adware?

000.fcl - Can you trust this file? OASIS

can anyone advise me, if it is safe or not?

I guess you can download the driver that use it (000.fcl ) via this website. Don't update the file itself, update the driver that use it

Hi all! As i'm getting near to fixing my laptop, problems are starting to pour.

I cannot find the JMB38X memory card reader in my device manager. It disappeared into nowhere. I tried adding a hardware but i cannot find it in the list. I desperately need HELP.

is there any more BSODs occur? Updating driver going ok?
Do you have driver for that JMB38X memory card reader? Install that driver might help your computer recognize it

Hi tuan, no BSOD. I'm near finishing the drivers update, except for the 000.fcl (i have no idea what program is using the said appln - meaning ??? ) I already updated the JMB38X last night. All updates were ok. Just for my OCness (obsessive compulsive), open the device manager just to double-check that i didn't miss out. JMB38x (4 entries) are missing.

I trried re-installing earlier, hoping it will somewhat find the device. It didn't return any error message, no device. Did i messed up big time?

do i need to uninstall the said driver? details pls.

No need to worry about 000.fcl nat, I never seen it cause BSODs, therefore you can forget about it, don't try to mess it up. It's ok if you leave it there.
I'm not used to farmiliar with card reader stuff, therefore It's hard for me to imagine how they are, hopefully someone will help you out with that (truly appologize)
