    Bsod help, unexperienced with pc, huge gamer

    Hi i am having severe problems with bluescreens all over the place.
    I dont know much about theese things so it can be extra hard trying to help me coz i dont know alot.
    I have followed some help things, to get things needed and downloaded a bluescreen wiever.

    When its just windows, and internet i dont get any errors but as soon as i play a game, even hard games like: call of duty, or somewhat easy game like tigerwoodsonline i get blue screen. Ofc i assume it is drivers that bugs out since it only is when playing games or using graphics in general.

    I bought a nvidia geforce gt 240 card from retail store and havent really felt i have had a single good driver. Started as i ran windows 7 64 bit, could only find beta drivers and then u know its not very good.

    Tried installing a windows 7 32 bit just to check if i couldnt use w7 but both are equally when it comes to bsod.

    As i mentioned before i have bluescreen viewer but am not totally sure how to add it here ill give it a go ok.

    here goes nothing:

    Filename Address In Stack From Address To Address Size Time Stamp Time String Product Name File Description File Version Company Full Path
    amdk8.sys amdk8.sys+1bb6 0x8fed2000 0x8fee4000 0x00012000 0x4a5bbf07 14.07.2009 01:11:03 Microsoft® Windows® Operating System Processor Device Driver 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255) Microsoft Corporation C:\Windows\system32\drivers\amdk8.sys
    halmacpi.dll halmacpi.dll+331a 0x8341b000 0x83452000 0x00037000 0x4a5bbf07 14.07.2009 01:11:03 Microsoft® Windows® Operating System Hardware Abstraction Layer DLL 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255) Microsoft Corporation C:\Windows\system32\halmacpi.dll
    ntkrnlpa.exe ntkrnlpa.exe+69fd9 0x8300b000 0x8341b000 0x00410000 0x4b88cacf 27.02.2010 09:33:35 Microsoft® Windows® Operating System NT Kernel & System 6.1.7600.16539 (win7_gdr.100226-1909) Microsoft Corporation C:\Windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe

    Not sure if what i did was allowed in this forum, so sorry if i did something wrong. wont do it again unless i am told to..

    In advance i thank u both for the help, and time used. Again i am not good with theese things so u might have to feed it to me with a silver spoon.

    PS. when i set the blue screen wiever to xp style, it says following on the 8 bluescreens i have had since 20th this month:

    The problems seems to be this file : Halmacpi.dll on 7 of the 8
    and one seems to be the file: ntkrnlpa.exe

    so the three things that comes up in the advanced mode is : halmacpi.dll amdk8.sys and ntkrnlpa.exe

    Hi I'm back
    I'm guessing this is just device drivers issues
    There are 2 things here that I want you to do. First of all, the minidump point to amdk8.sys, which is AMD cpu driver, please download and re-install it
    Secondly, you have ASACPI.sys , which is Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility (a known BSOD maker). Also a part of the Asus PCProbe and AISuite Utilities. Please update them, it's pretty out of date
    Code:
    ASACPI   ASACPI.sys   Fri Aug 13 09:52:52 2004 (411C2D04)
    BUGCHECK:
    Code:
    BugCheck 7F, {d, 0, 0, 0}
    Probably caused by : amdk8.sys ( amdk8!C1Halt+4 )
    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
    BugCheck 101, {61, 0, 807c3120, 1}
    Probably caused by : Unknown_Image ( ANALYSIS_INCONCLUSIVE )
    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------

    Let us know how it turn out

    On the cool and quiet thing it says that its a default and does not require any updates, how can i then erase it ?

    Acapi thingy i searhed the site and found a seemingly useful thing wher it finds what i need, except clicking on the download button, and go it does nothing. hmm

    feel kinda stupid here, amungst geniouses.
