    Computer crash help!

Hello, today I turned on my laptop and the main screen reverted from aero to windows classic(I have windows 7) but I didn't tell it to. Also I can't connect to the internet, I don't even have the option. My F keys all have things that they can do on them like, lower volume and turning on/off wi-fi but they dont work. I've tried everything that I can think of I did a virus scan but it says no virus found and I scanned last night before I turned it off and it even said no virus found, for the scan last night I used Microsoft Security Essentials and now that won't even work. Help me please!

    Bsc0793 Hi and welcome

I wonder if you might have a backup from prior to the problem that we can restore from. If not do you have a windows 7 dvd from which to do a repair install?

Does you computer do the same thing when you boot into safe mode (F8)?

Can you at least get back to your normal desktop?

Let us know if you need assistance

Yes I've tried to do a system restore and it said it restored but it did not work whenever I go into windows normally the screen goes black and only 5 .exe's are running. I do have a windows 7 dvd but if I use it to I have to also reinstall the drivers? Because I have all the discs, I just wanted to do that as a last resort

    Hi Bsc0793 again
I would suggest your options are now limited & suggest doing a repair install.

    Repair Install

Note - Device Drivers - Be sure to have these handy to reinstall. They do not always remain after the repair (upgrade) install.

After you have completed this let us know how it went please.

Actually something strange happened, I did a system recovery from like 4 days before hand and when I loaded up windows 7 normally it was a black screen and there were only like 4 processes running. So when I finally decided to reinstall windows 7 and I put in the disc everything started working fine again. Do you happen to have any idea why this happened? I have no idea why, though I'm not complaining because its still working

I got that error before too, did recovery process, then when window start-->no IE, no My computer etc...just the screen and taskbar...
Finally realize the Window stuff is not in C partition, it is in different place,
    Check it out
