BSOD Minidump Attachted , Need Help Please

HI if someone could help. Brand new build running for about 5 days Yesterday I got a BSOD , Think it was System Service Exception and today after changing the font size I got a Bad Pool Caller, Right after I changed the font size and hit the "ok" button to log out.

    Magoo Hi and welcome

This crash points to memory corruption which your bad pool caller supports. The first parameter also supports a memory exception.

Because so many things point to memory I would

1-download a 3rd party application called memtestx86, burn it to cd, and run it for at least 7 passes.

2-run a system file check to verify and repair any damaged system files
(to do that type cmd in search>right clip and run as admin>sfc /scannow)

Let us know the results and if you need any further assistance.

    STOP 0x0000003B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory
I would recommend to run system file check first:
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Then reinstall your ATi video card driver as wells as directx:
    Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime

Full scan whole machine for malware:
    Malwarebytes

Just some simple things to do to eliminate the cause, if there is any more BSODs, please upload the minidump

    Tuan

Opp...I'm slow typing, yes...I would of suggest you same thing too if the scan ok--->memtest86 as Ken suggest-->Go for it

Ok thanks allot guys. I ran memtest for 2 hours , I didnt look at how many passes, but the machine is pretty fast and there where no errors. MBAM Scan is running , I have the paid Version. Gonna do the SFC thing next. I think it might be related to Graphics card or drivers because both times I was playing with themes or fonts. Will post back after System File check!

Update: SFC Found No Errors, Uninstalled and Reinstalled ATI 10.6, Also reinstalled Direct X, MBAM and Nod32 found no malware/virus's. Should Direct X be uninstalled 1st? I just did reinstall overtop. If this continues would you suspect any faulty hardware? Also gonna run memtest overnight.

    Thanks!

Well its crashed again, Always seem to crash when Changing Themes or playing with color or font settings. System passed Memetest 4.10 , 12 passes, SFC was fine, No Malware. Crappy ATI drivers? , Bad video Card?

    Minidump attached

    the file was win32k.sys

    Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the help, Enabled Driver Verfier , with all the correct settings. Played with the Display options and its crashed within 5 minutes. I did no make a new .dmp file in the Minidump folder, just the one from an hour ago , which I will attach again incase its different. Does the verifier put logs or dmp's somwhere else?

    Thanks
    Magoo

Still same one, keep it running and wait for it to crash, then post your new dump

Do I need to turn the verifier back on? or does it get shut off automatically after a reboot?
