    BSOD Unusual Problem

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64x with and ASUS M3N-HD/HDMI motherboard and a Geforece 9800 GTX/9800GTX + graphic card. I also have 8 GB of ram. I have been getting an odd BSOD lately. I have attached the .zip file for you to look at. I am unsure what is causing the problem. It happened when I opened games on steam and it also happened when I went to a visualization Itunes. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advanced.

As you can see this is a hardware related issue. Hardware can include drivers. I found some outdated drivers on your system. These can contribute to BSOD's.
    lv302a64.sys Thu Apr 30 18:41:07 2009
    LV302V64.SYS Thu Apr 30 18:43:26 2009
    lvrs64.sys Thu Apr 30 18:43:25 2009 (49FA298D)
    LVUSBS64.sys Sat Jul 26 11:06:36 2008 (488B3D7C)
    nvm62x64.sys Fri Oct 17 17:01:06 2008 (48F8FD12)
What anti virus and firewall are you running?

Let's start by getting your drivers up to date.

    How to find drivers:

    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).

    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads
If you need help with this let us know.

There was not a lot of information in this DMP. What little there is seems to point to a memory problem.

You can verify this by downloading a 3rd party app called memtestx86, burn it to cd, and run it for at least 6 passes.

A second thing I would do is to run a system file check to verify your key system files.
To do that you should type cmd in search, then right click to run it as an admin, then sfc /scannow.

Let us know if you need further assistance

Thank you for the quick replies. Please bare with me I work nights so I am not up at normal times so my replies might seem late but I will get to answering your questions and I will fill out my information and begin to update drivers. Let you know what happens. Also, I don't know if it will help but I have 2 other dump files that were caused by a game load maybe those could help. I have attached them.

Don't be concerned about your hours. We have a good team here and we are located around the globe. One of us will be here when you post and will follow up. :)

One of these latest dmp files was a repeat of stop error code 50; the other was 3B.

    STOP 0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Usual causes: Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM), Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS

    STOP 0x0000003B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory
Both of these point to hardware/driver problems.

Run memtest as per JMH's suggestion and let's either eliminate RAM as a problem or confirm it. Post your results. If the RAM proves to be OK, then work on your drivers. Post back if you have questions.

Okay so I am updating my drivers there are so far only 2 updates from what Carl showed me. Carl I am only running spybot and microsoft security essentials for virus programs. I had AVG but it kept causing problems and blocking to many things so I got rid of it. I will be conducting the mem test soon but it only does 4GB and I have 8 so I will have to do it twice since the thing cost money. If you know a free one let me know. Thanks.

Speccy is a cool little program. Thank you for filling in your specs. That helps us.

If you need help with the drivers, please post the ones you need help with.

Well so far I updated everything thought it worked out fine then yet again I got another BSOD. This time on something I thought I fixed. When closing Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 it crashed. I am conducting memtest in a moment but thought I would upload the latest BSOD.

You are running Memtest86+ now. Be sure to tell us your results.

I see that you are not alone in having trouble witht the game. Here is a thread that you might want to read through.

iw4sp.exe or iw4mp.exe Errors (Modern Warfare 2) - Call of Duty 4 Forums

Here are those older drivers that need to be updated. It is important to get your drivers updated. Win 7 does not like older drivers.
    amdxata.sys Tue May 19 13:56:59 2009 (4A12F2EB)
    lv302a64.sys Thu Apr 30 18:41:07 2009 (49FA2903)
    LV302V64.SYS Thu Apr 30 18:43:26 2009 (49FA298E)
    lvrs64.sys Thu Apr 30 18:43:25 2009 (49FA298D)
    LVUSBS64.sys Sat Jul 26 11:06:36 2008 (488B3D7C)
    nvsmu.sys Mon Jun 29 03:36:37 2009 (4A486F05)
When you finish running memetest, work on the drivers. I believe those "lv" drivers are Logitec QuickCam drivers, at least two of them are. The nvsmu.sys driver is an NVidia driver. The amdxata.sys, Storage Filter Driver, is a driver file from company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) belonging to product Storage Filter Driver.
