Bsod. a little cause of worry. please help me. :(

    okay i've run the short generic, short DST and SMART tests. my harddrive has passed those three.
    not sure if more tests are required, i'm running the long DST test now.

    is that enough information for a follow-up here? :)

    Have you also done these?
    Run sfc /scannow from an elevated (run-as-admin) command prompt.

    Also run chkdsk /r /f after the system file checker finishes.

    not yet. i'm waiting for my long DST to finish. i'll do it after. or was i supposed to do those BEFORE?

    Depends on the size of your drive - probably a few hours for the full chkdsk.

    i can't start chkdsk cos it says volume is in use by another process.
    how do i get it to start?

    Chkdsk should ask you in that case if you want to do it on the next reboot. Confirm that then reboot the computer to run it.
