STOP 0x0000009C: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION Usual causes: Hardware error (similar to STOP 0x124)


You have a bug code 9C, which leads us to stop 124. Included here is one of our best posts regarding this particular stop. Read the post and try to follow it to the best of your ability. It leads us to hardware.

The code 124 generally indicates a hardware problem. There are a lot of things that you can try. Why not start with the RAM, take out two sticks (although, I doubt that this is the problem) and test the remaining on memtest 86. Run for 6 passes and check each stick separately. While you are in there, take a good stick and test each slot.
