It stresses the drivers and causes BSOD's. Those BSOD's usually single out the offending driver. Oops; I did not see Jonathan's post.

That was the display driver only i installed, i was installing the CHIPSET drivers when this occured and started, The display driver actually failed to install proppely and i had to use device manager to point it to the ATI directory
Driver verifier made it BSoD part way thru the chipset install twice in a row, now i get this error four times on startup

it was catalyst install manager that crashed trying to install chipset drivers, still getting the error four times on startup, no bluescreen tho...

I'm sorry I'm not quite clear about the situation. So you have installed the ATi graphic driver sucessfully, and now whenever startup your computer you receive that error related to catalyst? I would recommend to go to Control Panel-->Program and feature and uninstall the Catalyst Control Center or go to Run-->msconfig-->startup and disable the Catalyst Control Center services

Ok ill try to explain a bit better
After removing the Nvidia card and drivers i put the ATI card back in, the drivers wouldnt install because there was "allready a device found" or something along those lines (the report at the end of the ATI instal said this) CPU-z and 3D mark knew it had an ATI radeon HD8000 series but windows had the standard VGA driver, all the files extracted to the ATI directory and i pointed device manager to the ATI directory and it found the video drivers (pretty much bypassed the ATI installer). When i go into uninstall the "catalyst insatall manager" it says no components have been installed.
This problem came later when i installed the CHIPSET driver from the asus site witch installs through "catalyst install manager" i got a bluescreen part way through the installation forced by driver verifier (had this enabled the whole time, do i need to disable verifier when changing drivers?) and now i have this problem of four of the same error on startup
seems strange to me, have installed these drivers before, the only thing i can think of was that driver verifier has caused this?
On the bright side i havnt had the regular BSoD in the last couple of days since replacing the power supply, im relay hoping the PSU was the cause of the problem in the first place and this is just a mater of reinstalling windows and starting fresh witch i dont realy want to do untill i sort hte initial BSoD problem

Ok, 1 week without a BSoD with the error on startup remaining then i got one entitled ntfs file system, frustrated and feeling like iwas running out of options i have installed a fresh version on a different hard drive and 1 day in another BSoD, also ntfs file system. If this is hardware it has to be motherboard, ram or CPU. as everything else has been swapped in and out
I am going to contact the person i brought all the parts off tomorrow and see what he thinks
Does anyone else have any thoughts? im open to any suggestion at this point
And had another page fault in non paged area, didnt leave a dump
I have been gettin many other errors, i also noticed windows 7 update automatically installed the ATK0110 Driver, untill then it was an unknown device in the device manager i have attached shots of both. is the ATPI driver at fault? (not sure what that is) windows update now doesnt work, not sure whats caused that? this install of 7 is 2 days old i have only installed

This is my suggestion, as svchost was process running at the time of crash, it make me think about third party antivirus software are causing this. Remember, svchost can be recognized as virus or malware sometime.
Please remove it for testing purpose and replaced by MSE:

The error 0xc0000005 in the dump indicates a memory problem, memory corruption. The usual causes of an error 24 are Disk corruption, insufficient physical memory, Device driver, Indexing, Resident antivirus, backup, defrag programs, Disk/Drive failing/failure.
You do have two slightly out of date drivers on your system. Have you tried updating these?

I have had AVG to start eith and swapped it for MSE, the BSoDs continued so i came to the conclusion that AV software is not the culrpit, as you can see this thread has being going for a while and seem it doesnt matter what combination on drivers and programs i use i still get these random BSoDs theyre almost never the same eror twice
I have tested the ram stick by stick then noth at once with memtest 86 for 7 passes per test, scanned hard drives with sea tools and passed every kind of scan, swapped out vid card and power supply, reinstalle windows sevral times 7 64 bit xp home and xp pro 32bit, the xp installations just became corrupt and unusable and windows 7 is blue screen after blue screen, was nearly a week between since the last one and i decided to reinstall windows and the atk0110 driver was labeled as unknown, windows update installed one and now its BSoDs again, and now windows update wont work at all, these problems seem no not make sence and dont point to one thing in particular
I have spent months trying to fix this issue but hit dead ends on every path i take
What are the odds its just hardware and all this im doing (over and over again) is a waste of time, its like i cant rely on the crash dumps because they are different errors every time
