BSOD on Hibernate/standby from ntoskrnl.exe
Sometimes when going into hibernation or standby, my computer will take a very long time (~5 min) to shut off. When I then resume, the bios selection screen will inform me that the computer shut down abnormally. Upon login to my desktop, a message will come up informing me that the computer succumbed to a fatal error and blue screened.
This happens often in streaks of two to three times in a row, then not occurring for about ten times.
According to the minidump, the probable culprit is ntoskrnl.exe. As far as my googling has informed me, this is a fairly integral part of the OS which poses some problems.
I would appreciate any suggestions of help on this issue.
Thanks much.
Mike
