Event ID 1014 DNS Client Services

Every time the computer is brought back from hibernate, I get this warning in the event viewer.

"Name resolution for the name isatap.WAG54GS timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded."

I dont loose network function, or if I do, it's momenteraly, and it only happens when I wake up the machine. Clean boot from cold does not show any warnings. WAG54GS is my router btw. As it doesnt seem to affect performance, I have not been fiddling until I know what I'm doing.

Machine is currently crunching 45 mins of video. When complete, that is the next job. I'll post again with the result.

No joy I'm afraid. Just woke up the machine, and the same warnings apear in event viewer.

OK, getting all sorts of problems waking the machine up, Including loss of networking (cant see the LAN/WAN). To save time, I've dissabled sleep/hibernate. Apart from burning more juice, is there any detrimental effects?

Personally, I cant wait for technology to overtake this machine, so I'll have full justification in chucking it in the skip, and hold a party on it's grave. (all invited)

I hear what you say. But, this machine has crashed more times in the first month of it's life, and had the OS reinstalled more times in it's first week than my old machine, a Pentium P4 2.8ghz in it's whole life. And my old machine didnt have a sparkling pedigree, it was cobbled together by PCworld.

I know for sure, that I've never been bombarded with so many events. Is Windows 7 particulary aggressive compared to windows XP??

Thanks for putting up with my rants, its just a major issue when I come home, wifey in tears because she cant get her work done, and apps have hung and frozen the machine.
