Sure, as long as you have enough space for it.

Nope, the BIOS is outside of Windows. You can reformat all you want and the BIOS will not be changed.

    hi carl,
hope you had a good break:) yeah everything is running ok i made a partition on the c drive for data, windows 7 tools in the operating system are pretty smooth i have lots of friends that use 3rd party (like i have to) but i found windows to be ok they have improved so much with 7 i am well impressed with the security essentials works well (i got my money back on the bitdefender what the gf got me) it does not use a lot of memory and the update definitions are always coming in (microsoft updates even remind as well!) i emailed the tech guys cause i could not speak to them in person so i dont no if i will get a reply or not about what they done. the bios has been updated for sure, its the same latest one as on the Packard Bell support site for this machine. all my external devices are working ok and i ran a performance test and it came out ok its nice working on the pc now without the fear of the BSOD! i got lots of work done now (had to catch up on stuff due to the last few months).

Thanks Brian. Actually, WhoCrashed is based off of Windbg, which we use. We prefer to go to Windbg directly, just for accuracy's sake. WhoCrashed doesn't give nearly as much information as Windbg itself.

Basically, it takes the Windbg output and organizes it in a way easy to see key parts.

everything is running well still, i have upgraded the cooling today> 1 Bay Cooler> 1 System Blower >1 80mm Case Fan (when it arrives i am fitting a Akasa hard drive cooler too) i still cant believe the machine only came with a cpu fan! not sure if i mentioned this in earlier posts? when i asked them about it "they all are like that now" i was told utter rubbish i told them, what brought it to my attention was my hard drive running in critical 54c and since i put new fans in its steady at 43c-44c and the cpu temps come down by 5c.
