Sure, I'll do my best to echo one theory proposed by another BSOD master here, backed up by reputable sources.

In XP, the Administrator account ran with 2 security tokens. In Vista and 7, even Administrator accounts only run with one at a time, using the second one as necessary.

The built-in administrator account is the only account that runs with both all the time.

It is due to these security settings that anti-virus programs cause so many problems.

Hi, it's me again. Look, I never liked McAfee before, but this time I bought this computer with a 15 months licence included. If is this software who is causing troubles, of course I will uninstall it. The laptop has a 2mp webcam included, what should I do? uninstall it? reinstall it? What could be the problem with it?

Thanks again.

Welcome!

Please remove McAfee with this tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/...tches/MCPR.exe

Are you using any webcams? Try removing them and see what happens.

If the webcam is indeed the problem, it could be either bad drivers or a bad webcam. If playing around with different versions of drivers doesn't help, I would advise taking the computer in for a repair in the shop to get the cam replaced.

Bluescreen solved on Dell Studio 1558

Hi, for those who are experiencing troubles with the Blue screen in Windwos 7 running on a Dell Studio. This is what I did:

- Uninstall the Fast Access recognition software (in my case, I'm not using it)
- Uninstall it also from the device manager, it is under the integrated webcam. And is named as a face recognition camera.

No blue screen since it has been done!!
