Rich is spot on in his advice. If you have ZA and the dump blames NETIO.sys, it is almost certain that is the issue.

Yes it is fine. Before we do any more work uninstall zone alarm. If you get more BSOD we will look further.

Ok i`ll uninstall ZA and install from them other links tomorro i have had a few beers so not the best time to be chanmgi8ng stuff hehehehe but i thankyou for your help i`d be so lost without places like this

I have uninstalled ZA, the microsoft link is for antivirus i have antivirus ots Avira dont i need to get a new firewall cos i am told the windows one is not that good

At least for test purposes, use the windows firewall and see if you still get bsod

Well the laptops been on most of the day and it`s not done a BSOD least not to the exptent of last nights plagueof BSODs mebbe this is a good sign huh

Trust us, with your bsod 99% chance it was zone alarm. Most reports not that clear.
If you did everything we said and you still get BSOD, post again. I am not at home so either Jon or someone will help

Why am i getting blue screens?

I'm new here but I've noticed there are a lot of ppl with knowledge about Windows 7 that I have not. Hopefully there is someone able to help me with this blue screens I'm getting at the start up of my Windows 7 system.
