Hmm...try removing Malwarebytes and see what happens. There is also a July update for your ATI video card drivers, so please install it: Graphics Drivers & Software

Other than that, it's time for hardware tests.

Be sure to use Speedfan, as recommended in the tutorial.

As a recent update: I just ran memtest and surprise! I'm reading 800MHz (instead of 1600) with seven errors (and counting). First time this happened ever since I set the settings to the Manufacturer requirements (8-8-8-24 for GSkill 12800). I haven't touched the RAM since I installed it so it's not a problem of wrong seating. It's so annoying because my rma deadline has already passed for newegg. It seems one RAM stick has gone bad. Bummer. Do you think this is conclusive?

Have you tried testing the sticks individually?

Yes I just did 4 passes each with one on slots 1 and 2. One passed, the second showed an error on slot 1, after one pass.

I would suspect that stick of RAM is faulty. I recommend replacing that pair of RAM.

Just a quick update. Just got a new set of GSkill RAM sticks, these ones fully compatible with the AMD mobo. Absolutely took care of the problem. No more BSODs and not a single windows error since then. This should provide a good enough textbook example for anyone out there. If the mobo manufacturer's site do not have the RAM sticks listed as compatible, (especially with AM3 mobos), it could still work (especially with a LOT of tweaking) but if even after RMA the problem persists, get a totally new but compatible set of RAM. It took me 2 months to figure out. Best do that homework before building that new rig.
