Lockups and freezes, BSOD, Event Error #11
I have a laptop that worked fine for about 4 months, but it's having errors now.
It was locking up and freezing pretty badly on startup, looked like it was related to explorer.exe crashes. I installed SP1 beta to eliminate any corrupt file problems and it helped with the lockups. It is getting this BSOD:
Which is something to do with kernel crashes? And could be hard drive related.Code:Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 7a BCP1: FFFFF6FC4001EF18 BCP2: FFFFFFFFC0000185 BCP3: 0000000119FD1860 BCP4: FFFFF88003DE3624 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\072210-59186-01.dmp C:\Users\Liz\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-119153-0.sysdata.xml Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt
In Event Viewer it shows lots of #11 "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort0" The errors start June 9th. I'm not sure about the lockups since I don't own the computer.
The BIOS is set to AHCI mode, in case that matters. The hard drive is a 320GB Hitachi 2.5" 5400rpm mobile drive.
