We all know its been going on for years, its just great we now have a chance to give them greif about it.

Cromwell's statement to Paliament 20th April 1653 could just as well have been given to the current lot 350 years later.

It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter'd your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil'd this sacred place, and turn'd the Lord's temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress'd, are yourselves become the greatest grievance.

Your country therefore calls upon me to cleanse this Augean stable, by putting a final period to your iniquitous proceedings in this House; and which by God's help, and the strength he has given me, I am now come to do; I command ye therefore, upon the peril of your lives, to depart immediately out of this place; go, get you out!

Make haste! Ye venal slaves be gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors. In the name of God, go!

    Hi

I have watched this develop over the past weeks with a growing sense of dislike for the lot of them. We all knew it was going on, we just didn't know how much. Then the claims just got dumber and dumber, but who were so dumb as to sign them off as approved? Maybe they should go first, right after a public apology and a return of their salary as they clearly haven't a clue! The people who claimed for mortgages already paid off, well I hope they get charged when the police are finished, but i doubt it. The whole thing beggars belief!

Now I hear that we should have a General Election. You have to be kidding! Why would you do this without sorting all this out? To hide it away maybe? Stop the reform process of MP's allowances maybe? They all don't want the gravy train to stop. Yes maybe we do need a general election but lets make it after the reforms ( if they happen ), the sackings and the charging!

The very fact that someone wants to be an MP, should immediately bar them from being one. (Not the Nine O'clock News book Not the General Election )

    Rant off!

As I keep saying, they dont need a second home, just a nice appartment in London. That should suffice. None of this claiming for chandaliers and swimming pools which arent even necessary for them to do their job.
They don't need a swimming pool. They've already got one, right outside the place where they (allegedly) work. It's called the River Thames. With a bit of luck, they'll dive in and be carried away.

    Hi all

It's not only the UK -- everywhere the picture is the same - except in some countries people aren't surprised at the general behaviour of them all.

    Just like this

    Cheers
