I was born in my birth year - everything else pales by comparison and is thus redundant
Seriously, that's a cool site :)
Interesting.
One glaring omission though. There was NO mention of the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) on 22nd November of that year. I was 4 days old at the time. Neither was there any mention of the Great Train Robbery (Ronnie Biggs et al).
Just checked for that of my wife, 1965. No mention of the death of Sir Winston Churchill, and no mention also of the death of Arthur Stanley Jefferson (better known as Stan Laurel, of Laurel and Hardy fame).
Well apparently the Colossus Computer was invented to break German encryptment, White Christmas by Bing Crosby topped the US charts and Jacques Yves Cousteau with Emile Gognan invented the Aqua-lung.
Books were still read using paper and the popular one at the time was The Robe by Lloyd C Douglas.
This was the year of my birth, of course we were in the middle of the 2nd World war as well.
