Where do you actually get/demo Windows 7
I admit, I am a newbie, and maybe I missed something - but many of you guys have seem to have "seven" and I was wondering where to obtain a copy.
Thanks

The only "legal" way is to be part of a Microsoft program that offers it or to get invited into the beta. Most of the people on this site used torrents.
Hi grant, and welcome to the Seven Forums,
As this is a closed Beta program at the moment it would be best to wait until the official public beta is released by Microsoft which should be within the next month.
there are other methods to obtain a copy of the Beta but it is against forum rules to discuss this due to the nature of these sources.
well, I think I can wait a month or twothanks for the quick responses!
one last thing - any tips on being "invited into the beta"
This is a little off the subject, but is there really a dock in the GUI or are those who posted some of the screenshots just using some emulator like Rocket Dock?
Win7 does not come with any sort of a dock. Some people apparently feel they need that on top of the awesome new taskbar. I have no idea why.
Just thinking... when the beta is publicly released, where will I go to download it then. Or will it be a site/page that does not exist?
usually as with with the vista beta
it will either
a)be downloaded from their servers (usually the 90% of the cases)
b)if you attended winhec it will be mailed....(idk if you can order them (technically you'd be paying for the disc and to have it shipped not for the os itself....)
