Ok, in that price range you'd be mad not to consider the Antec 900 antec 900

As for cases, without a budget I'd recommend either: - Linkworld 431-08 c8888 Computer Case (No dents!)

or: - Thermaltake Level 10 VL30001N1Z Black Aluminum ATX Super Full Tower Gaming Station Computer Case (Dents, but the GOOD kind.)

See what we mean about a budget?

PS: If I ever hit the lottery I'm getting the second one - just because...
Just go to - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!.

Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit / XP Home sp3

This is a pretty good Canadian online store. About as close to Newegg with avalible components. I like the Coolermaster Half X case.
Lots of features, good air flow and I'm partial to the all black interior
I also like the GTX460 GPU.
As far as your current CPU visit some of the Overcloking forums and you'll find the Q6600 especialy the GO stepping to do ectremely well.
One of the easiest preformace gains would to get an SSD for you OP system. Their is still some good life left in some of your components it's just a matter of how much you want to spend. And 4 gigs or more of ram is enough to run a 64 bit Os. - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection. Just some thougts. Fabe

That Coolermaster case looks great! I've used a few of their models for builds and their build quality has been good with all of them. That site looks like it has pretty reasonable pricing too!
I found this Antec Dark Fleet DF-85 which I kinda like the look of (as long as it's not filled with led's) and, it has (a single) USB3.0 port!

Oh, almost forgot...
My thermal paste of choice has been Arctic Silver 5 for years
Their site has decent instructions on how to use it:

Arctic silver is good.

MX-2 is really good as well. Its the one Ive been using last few builds & Like it better myself.

But both are very good though.

Guess it is time to set "Never check for updates"
Next in the W7 update debacle! Updates will be consolidated into packages. So I guess there will be no way to separate "important" updates from the "recommended" updates. I have seen more than one recommended update cause serious problems. Even a couple of the important updates have caused issues,...

It's time to upgrade
After 6 years of gaming abuse, it's time to upgrade from Quad-Core to Haswell. PC is still going strong with most games played on max/ultra settings @ 1080p but as new games are coming out every now and then with higher specs, I guess its wise to upgrade now I will be upgrading core components...

GPU upgrade time!
Hi everyone :) . I'm currently running the Asus DirectCU GTX460 TOP, don't get me wrong I love this card, but it's starting to show its age when it comes to 1200p performance. I'm currently looking into an nVidia based GPU with the main feature in mind being low noise levels, I can't stress...
