I've been thinking about this, but there is not 1 certain version of something that I couldn't live without. For example, I want/need virtualization software, but I can do that with VMWare Player or VirtualBox. I prefer to use Firefox, but if it were gone, I could use Chrome or Opera. Heck, I don't even need Windows....I can do everything I need to do with a Linux machine.

1) Acronis 2010. (This is the very 1st piece of Software I install. An absolute must have)

2) NIS 2010 & Malwarebytes

3) Nero 9 (I know many haters, but i find many of its apps quite usefull time to time :) Plus, I really like Showtime. )

4) MeGUI, AviSynth, Sharks Codec package

5) Zune

6) Perfect Disk

7) Ccleaner

Obviously I have many more apps, but these are the first ones I always install, and consider my personal must haves.
