This is the 70th anniversary of The Battle of Britain.
It seems a betting man would not have given Britain a very good chance at all, we looked certain to loose.
Archives now released reveal that in the morning Churchill spoke to his war cabinet and said "In three months we will all be dead"
Later that day he went into the House of Commons and gave his famous "This was their finest hour" speech.
That's politics.

"Each of us is alone in the world. It takes great courage to meet the full force of your aloneness. ... When you face your aloneness, something begins to happen. Gradually, the sense of bleakness changes into a sense of true belonging. This is a slow and open-ended transition but it is utterly vital in order to come into rhythm with your own individuality."

Isn't it sad how some people can't be funny, so they have to settle for being obnoxious?

Thanks for that Derek. It seems to me to illustrate both the nature of courage and the nature of politics.

multi quote NOT working, Quote acting as Multi, but..
Clicking quote is now wanting to quote that person for every post made on that particular page, and "multi" button link isnt working at all.
