Quote of the Day - 2

I have seen more funny, signature quotes than I can remember! ... but I saw this one today and thought it would be a fun topic. If you've seen one you like, post it

I have seen the truth and it makes no sense

"I reject your reality, and substitute my own."

How I wish I knew that one when I was in high school. I would have made pissing off teachers even more fun.

    Petey,
I pissed off our English teacher enough........
Put a whoopie cushion underneath her cushioned chair so when she sat down it sounded like she was cutting the cheese.

Music Teacher had a VW- so we placed it neatly between 2 large trees he spent many hours trying to get it out of there.

Then came the reality check with the Principal

I just had so many teachers say I needed a reality check (or something similar) and I could never come up with a good come back. Now I have one, but am a bit more weary of pissing off my college professors/other staff.

Whom do I call educated? First, those who manage well the circumstances they encounter day by day. Next, those who are decent and honorable in their intercourse with all men, bearing easily and good naturedly what is offensive in others and being as agreeable and reasonable to their associates as is humanly possible to be... those who hold their pleasures always under control and are not ultimately overcome by their misfortunes... those who are not spoiled by their successes, who do not desert their true selves but hold their ground steadfastly as wise and sober -- minded men.

    Socrates

According to this conception, the sole function of education was to open the way to thinking and knowing, and the school, as the outstanding organ for the people's education, must serve that end exclusively.

"Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight

Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,

Rage, rage against the dying of the Light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,

Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage, rage against the dying of the Light"
