Send your best thoughts for CarlTR6 & his Wife (Mae Lyne)

I know Carl has not been on the forum for that long but in this short period I am sure a lot of you have gotten to know him very well. As you all know Carl is the type of man that will go to then end of the earth to help out others when he can. So I would just like you all to spare a few prayers for Carl and his wonderful Wife Mae Lyne in their time of need.

Carl sent me the following message last night so please take some time out and say a prayer or two for these good folks

Friday, Mae Lyne had a PET scan - positron-emission tomography. The results indicate she has a spot of high metabolism in her lung. Translation - probably lung cancer.

On the plus side, it has just shown up since November of 2009 and there are no other suspicious areas including the lymph nodes. Her primary care doc wants her scheduled for surgery ASAP and he will start making the arrangements Monday.

I don't pray, but they are in my thoughts and I sincerely hope for the best possible outcome during this awful time they are both going through

We're all here for moral support if you need us Carl.

Wow, I hate to hear that, but at least they caught it early, so hopefully it can be taken care of.

    They are in my thoughts.

I will keep both his wife and him in my prayers. Lost my father to lung cancer, its not easy. I hope the best for you Carl and Mae.

Thank you each for your words of encouragement and your thoughts and your prayers. Your support means more than words can convey. Mae Lyne and I are certainly not happy with the news; but we are not defeated. We both are positive, upbeat, and we believe she will defeat this thing. It is encouraging that the doc's caught it early. The PET scan shows that it is localized, has not spread, and is not in the lymph nodes. She is a strong person and a fighter.

We really appreciate the Seven Forums family.
