Hi! Carl...Bumped it up a day, that's not unusual, someone else may have had to cancel.

I'll have the candles lit at midnight.

Try an get some rest. Don't be afraid to ask the nurses for a pillow or blanket, if they are not using the other bed ask if you could use that.

So far I've been lucky _ KOW _ (knock on wood), but the DW had Pleurisy a while back an she had tubes. Right 'round Christmas of '93. Wasn't pretty.

Hoping that everything goes all right.

Carl thanks for the update and I pray things go well. If she can avoid the radiation and chemo that'll be great, if not, just press on and keep your head up.

I know when they removed my cancerous tonsil I was told I didn't need radiation and or chemo, but in the end I wound up having them anyway.

As disappointed as I was to hear that, It happened and I'm doing quite well as of now. That was a little over year ago.

I wish your wife luck and pray everything goes well. They're making great strides these days so be optimistic.

    Peace

    Update:

Mae Lyne had her pre-op appointment with the thoracic surgeon this morning and he rescheduled her for surgery for tomorrow morning at 08:30 (8:30 AM) instead of Thursday morning at Florida Hospital (South) in Orlando .He is still optimistic and still planning to remove the upper lobe of the right lung. He will refer her to an oncologist for follow-up and the biopsy will be done after the surgery. Based on what he can see on the CT scan, he does not think there will be a need for radiation or chemo. Of course, that can change.

She will be in ICU for about three days and in the hospital for about a week. Her going home depends on when the drain tubes can be removed. Her recovery time will be eight weeks. Those of you who have had broken ribs will be able to relate!

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She and I remain upbeat and optimistic.
Best wishes and good luck! It's good to hear that she is optimistic and upbeat....the mind is a powerful force on the body, so if she feels confident, I believe that will help her heal faster.:)

Thanks, Steve; and you are right on target. A heart surgery was canceled.

    Carl,
You know that we will be thinking of Mae Lyne and you. Get some rest today as the next couple of days will be stressful.
Donna is all through the 3 days of infusion with MRI on Thursday and then the waiting game begins.
No matter what happens we all have to be positive and strong.
Take care my friend and God Bless you both,
    Dennis and Donna
