My first car, never ended up being registered to me....lost my job before I could put it "on the road". So I only drive it around the neighboring streets at night a few times, before I had to sell it. These pics are not mine.....20 years ago I had no camera.:) 1975 Audi 100

This is not a picture of my actual car, just a picture of a similar car. Mine was deep red with a white top and white vinyl interior. Nothing says, "I've arrived!" better than white vinyl seats.
I was 16 when I got it in 1987, and it was a basket case. It was one of those, "If you can get it out of here, you can have it for free" deals.
I spent just enough time and money on it to get it going, but never thought about making it stop. The engine sounded incredible! The brakes completely failed the first time I took it out on the street. Fourtunately I was able to avoid an accident by driving into a very long grass median that slowed me to a stop after about 1000 feet. I did manage to take out about seven different road signs in that distance, though.
I towed it back home and figured replacing the entire brake system was too costly and time consuming. I sold the car "as-is" and made about $500 profit for my troubles.

Well...more like $490 profit. I had to buy some new underpants.
