It is very annoying when people don't give rep for helping :)

You just have to get used to it. Giving rep is not obligatory, getting it should not be the reason to offer help.

    Hey Fluffy,
The reps will come just keep helping out when you can.
You aren't the only one who has helped and no rep. To most of us a "Thank you" is enough.
Hardly anyone notices the pips or badges that you have underneath your name they just want a helping hand.
Other sites don't even come close to what we have here.

I love being a part of helping others. I don't even need a thank you, but it is nice, and reputation is even nicer. Someone posting back that an issue is solved makes me happy, personally ^_^

LiquidSnack, I totally agree with you on Thank you being nice. I'd rather have a poster come back, to post a short thank you if the solution has worked, than to see the thread is dead after I responded so I have no way of telling if my help was OK, or if the OP just lost his temper with my inability to help.

This is why I think a short "Thank you, I got it working" is far more important than rep from other geeks reading that thread. So please, dear fellow geeks, you don't have to rep if you don't want to. But take the time it needs, a minute or so, to post feedback. In my opinion, a good, solved issue thread (not talking about those forever living threads like Jokes or Post your desktops) is a thread started and ended by the same member; first post to describe the issue, last post to thank participating members for their input.
