This is why I think a short "Thank you, I got it working" is far more important than rep from other geeks reading that thread. So please, dear fellow geeks, you don't have to rep if you don't want to. But take the time it needs, a minut or so, to post feedback. In my opinion, a good, solved issue thread (not talking about those forever living threads like Jokes or Post your desktops) is a thread started and ended by the same meber; first post to describe the issue, last post to thank participating members for their input.

In the Crashes and Debugging section, we are dealing with a lot of first time posters and many do not know about the rep system. My reward is when their system is running stable and I have had a hand in helping them.

Hear hear. And unlike some annoyance, often that's restoring operation of the PC. It's real work, and the most impressive on the forum IMHO.

Agree!! And you need a lot of patience for that (which I do not have - LOL). Getting people out of BSODs is hard labor. I leave that to you young folks.
