I'm telling you, it's probably been disabled on purpose by the admin, for newcomers, to prevent spammers joining and having spam links displayed or similar.

That's a good point, i can see the validity in that. It might become available after X amount of posts. Saying that, that's no reason to suddenly start posting everywhere

OEM, Member dmex told me some time ago there is a size limitation on the sig, but I don't know what it is.

Due to spammers the link bbcode in signatures is only allowed for ranks of Skilled and above.

When you reach 100 rep points, you get turned to skilled. There's more info in this thread here: Forum Rules - Vista Forums

    Hello Airbot,

Thats does seem to be a fair way of assessing a members value. Guess thats why so many here have in there sig, "give my rep a hit if I have helped you". Otherwise, many are helping and not getting the recognition they deserve.

    Thanks

    Hello OEM,

Yes it is. That is why, a lot of members are always helping out, and many don't know about the rep or how to give it, so they have it in their sigs. Many are left repless when they've helped out. But if you help out, you should get rep from the person you helped, and in no time you will earn the badges. Also, sometimes the admin will give you a little boost on top of it if you're helpful. :)
