Withdrawl symptoms - No Footie till August
Hi all
Now the English Premier League is over what will I do on some weekend afternoons without my regular "fix" of the English Premier League.
Whatever other problems they might or might not have in the U.K providing exciting and entertaining Football with interest remaining until the Final kick of the last game of the season is certainly not one of them.
For anybody following this League-- what a really exciting and roller coaster season it's been.
Hull City (whose travelling fans have enhanced a lot of the Stadiums this season and made a lot of Friends) just squeaking through to stay in the Premiership against all the odds whilst the once mighty Newcastle going down to the second tier of the English League. Liverpool just being pipped to the championship title by a rampant Manchester United and Chelsea being embarrasingly dumped out of the Champions league by some appalling refereeing.
Whatever country you come from at least the "Home" of Football shows it's alive and kicking and I can't wait for next season.
Whilst some on this board will be disappointed at some of the outcomes (I know at least one Liverpool and a few "Geordie" fans) for lovers of the game everywhere what a season it's been and I for one enjoyed it all.
And a special well done to Hull City who managed to add some real colour to the season with their vast army of amber and black travelling supporters whose club in spite of having almost zero resources and being on everyone's absolute 100% banker to go straight back down again managed against all odds to avoid the drop.
Cheers
