    just a quick question
will your pc be more heated if you leave it on 24/7 ??
    No, it plateaus.

Once it settles into it's normal operating temps, it's not going to keep on rising and rising.

Most shut down (so far at least). that surprises me
I've had nothing but bugs/glitches in the past with sleep/hibernate in the past that I just don't bother with it now.

And turning off saves a bit of power (not that it makes any difference to the bills )

Plus, it's at least a few hours that my case isn't acting as a dust filtration unit...

I've always turned mine off at night and switched off at the plug, I'm not taking any chances while asleep plus my electric is expensive enough as it is no use wasting it.

Unless you actually turn it off at the mains (ie: pull the plug) there's very little difference in power consumption between shutting down, hibernate and sleep. So shutting down to "save on power" is a myth. And using sleep or hibernate essentially turns everything off anyway. I think leaving it on 24/7 is not good but using sleep/hibernate has lots of advantages.

Wow, lots of shut-down, interesting. I thought there would be more using sleep.
