Maximum PC just did a "deathmatch" and rated Android over iPhone and BB, though Android and iPhone did tie in several rounds, those were counted as a 'win' for each in the final tally.
I was just coming back to this thread to post this exact same thing as I just caught up on this issue during my lunch hour, but you already beat me to it.

I've used an iPhone over an extended period of time, and I liked it ok at the time. Recently got the EVO, which is my first Android phone, and I would never trade it for Apple's offering. Straight out of the box, it's a much better phone for power users. Plus, Android is open source...first thing I did was root it and throw some custom ROMs and kernals on there. That brought improvements in both speed and battery life, plus the ability to overclock and use programs like Wireless Tether.

    Android FTW.
You have the best dp. Am not anti Apple just anti Iphone I think there over rated

Prof Kerfuffle... you don't happen to like Andriod do you?

on Topic though, I just purchased (2 months ago) an Andriod phone. It is my first smart phone... so I can't compare it to iPhone...

Of one thing I have heard is flash doesn't work on iPhone, but I don't find myself using this much on my phone either... Most sites have mobile versions which is awesome. But I am enjoying my smartphone. It is a Samsung Moment on Sprint network.

Yes. I saw that too. I didn't see Geek's post though or why he was banned....

Anyway, I looked around for a while and looked at blackberries and a few other phones, but didn't even go near iPhone....

i have an iphone 3g and i really like it for what i use my phone for... a guy at work had the new iphone 4 and traded it in for an android phone (forget what model) but a week later he switched back to the iphone 4 because the screen was better, the battery life was better, and the os was way more ergonomic... that was what he said.. ive played with a few android os phones of my friends and it seems like a chore to just make a phone call or send a message..

i guess if you want to use a phone for more intense applications than games, simple web browsing, and phone/text then an android could be better - but for me, i really enjoy the ease of use that the iphone has provided for me

The complexity of making a call or sending a message on Android can be dependent on what phone it is. Some manufacturers put an overlay on the base OS. My Droid is 'vanilla', plain, no overlay and making a call is as simple as 3 taps of the screen for a stored contact, and that's if I use the phone app to find the contact instead of the search widget on the home screen.
