Today I say good-bye to my Daughter and my three grand-kids after a week long reunion with them. They flew here all the way from Germany for the visit. It had been almost five years since we had seen each other, so we stayed up into the wee hours catching up what was happening in each others lives and spoiling the kids.. This is without doubt the best Christmas I've ever had... :)
Tom, that is one great Christmas. I am glad you got together and had a good time and a good visit.

Mae Lyne's three kids are getting together in Milton, FL for Christmas. Her oldest lives there, her second lives in AR and her son is currently stationed at Ft Gordon, GA. This will be the first time they have all been together in almost four years. So Mae Lyne is going to spend Christmas in Milton. Unfortunately, I can't go. One of us has to stay here with Dad. So we will have our Christmas this weekend.

    Carl,
Kind of the same situation here as our Daughter in Law has to work(FireDept. Dispatcher) and my son will get the kids New Years week-end. We will join them then.
We will celebrate Christmas by going to Christmas Eve Mass and then share our gifts on Christmas day together.
Need to start thinking about New Year's Resolution so I can break it Jan 2nd!
    hehehe
I made a New Years resolution Years ago that I have never broken - not to make any more of the danged things! :)

Carl hello.. Oh how families are so stretched by distance, yet find a way to celebrate the holidays together.. I'm pleased to know Mae Lyne is up to traveling.. to know you'll be taking good care of your DAD.. this year.. yet, you all will get to celebrate the Special Meaning of the birth of Jesus, mankinds greatest gift ever.
Enjoy a wonderful , JOY filled Christmas this year, you have so much to be greatful for as we look back over this past year together.
Amen! Indeed we have much to be grateful for. Thank you for your friendship and I thank all of the members here for caring and for their friendship.

Nice shots, John. That looks a little too chilly for me.

I'm happy for you, Tom. I can only imagine how you are feeling now.

Although my family, my two sons and two grandkids, as well as my mom, brother's and sister with my nephews and nieces are living in the same continent, living abroad automatically means you don't meet them as often. But at least I can meet them two three times a year.

Life is good, Mac OSX sux.

Today, for the 2nd time this week, I was really sick to my stomach. Upon being home for a few hours(both times), I feel much better and more alert. I think I know what's causing it, which is good.
But tonight, I plan on getting some long needed, uninterrupted sleep, since it's Friday for me.

Gotta get that stomach healthy before Christmas MWRed. My guess is that you've got lots of good food in your near future, so you'd better be able to eat it, right?

Looks like we're going to have a white Christmas, if the 10 day forecast is correct. The weather service is predicting snow for Thursday the 23rd, Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th, so if they're right, it'll be a very beautiful Christmas.
