    Best wired router?

I've had Linksys routers (usually the befsr--) series, but, I've had my 3rd one die on me over the course of 7 years.

I'd rather not get another Linksys, while I like the UI and they work good, I'm tired of them dying out on me. Is there another good wired router you recommend? Seems everyone always has problems with some brand or model and its hard to tell with reviews what is solid.

With wired, I've usually had great luck with almost any brand. I particularly like D-Link; I've had a few of their wireless and wired products and they all have lasted me quite a few years and have performed very well.

off topic, how do you americans pronounce 'router'?

we say 'root-er' in the uk...do you pronounce it so it rhymes with 'outer'?

because over here, a thing that starts with 'r' and rhymes with 'outer' is a woodworking tool.

    just curious...

I'd rather have the wood working tool on my desk.

Me too which is why they are pronounced "rout" er instead of "root" er. And I like Dlink also.
