    Don't you love it when...

...an important fix you need to do just happens to be an easy one?

Just recently Windows 7 on my laptop was having trouble connecting to my wireless router, even though it said it could see the signal. Well, since it's a dual-band model, I just switched it from 2.4 to 5.0 GHz, and what do you know! Now it works fine and connects with no problem.

Sure, we feel like throwing our hardware off of the top of tall buildings sometimes. Don't give in! Stick to it, and (most) of your technical problems can be solved. :)

Sometimes frustration gets the better of us, I know I over react when something does not work the way it should, and then I fiddle around and solve it :)

At work today my co-worker couldn't figure out why a computer wouldn't turn on when it had been running fine earlier. He had opened the case and was making sure everything was connected fine.

I checked the back of the PC, it was plugged in. SO, I followed the cord to the other end and it was also plugged in there to our battery backup.

THEN, I follow the BATTERY BACKUP to the wall and that had somehow become unplugged.

    He felt smart.

Yep, same here. If it's important enough and/or complex, often I will jot down the solution (lately I use OneNote to keep track of everything in my life).
