Windows 7: Vista, 7 or XP?

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I never liked xp, I used 2000 over it, it didn't like a lot of things they changed in the interface, it seemed to be a bloated os with things I didn't need.

Vista was ok, it looked good, and got the job done.

7 is great, looks great, has many things I didn't like about vista removed, and love the added changes to UI.

I use mac os x and linux for other things but as far as windows 7 gets my gaming and downloading done.

Windows 7 Professional x64

I hate changes... But that's just me. It doesn't help that I use XP everyday at work (monday-friday) so it's hard to change and use other O.S.'s at home.

I do have Windows 7 on my HP laptop and Vista on my custom-built desktop (both running on the 64-bit versions)

I'd go with Windows 7 over Vista and I guess Windows 7 over everything since XP is going to be out-of-date eventually.

Vista Ult 64 bit Seven Ult RTM x64

Tried XP when it first came out and thought it was not worth it, so never moved to it. Liked Vista after getting past some initial headaches and like W7 more.

Hi, as most who sign up. I've been a long time lurker (using the forum to find solutions to help others as I didn't use 7 myself). So first a big thanks to all contributors :) Now I'm finally at a point where XP just doesn't cut it any longer. I installed Vista 32 bit because I had a licence that I...

Kensington Trackball OK In Vista But Not In Win7 Vista Compatibility
I have a Kensington Trackball (Expert Mouse) model 64217, which is the old grey 4 button billiard ball style trackball and which is far and away my preferred mouse device (it’s been around since Windows XP days). Kensington got considerable grief (and rightly so in my opinion) when Vista came out...
Remove Vista from Vista / Win7 Dual Boot - Separate Drives
I have two drives (C and D) with Vista on one and Win 7 on the other (not sure if they're actual drives or partitions of a single drive, how do I tell?). I am dual booting and never use Vista. Starting to need the disk space and want to delete Vista. Is this difficult in this scenario?
