Windows 7: Malware aimed at social networks may steal your reality

Hi Casey. I have a Facebook page but have been mystified by it ever since I registered (about 2 years ago) Initially I kept getting poked by people I knew and sometimes even superpoked.
Then I got invited to take part in a tv quiz. I answered questions and passed on the ones I didn't know until I got 50 points. I could have carried on until I got a hundred or a even a thousand with enough time. The next day I asked the colleague who had invited me whether we were playing together or against each other and she didn't know! I pointed out that one could amass points easily by passing on the questions one didn't know. She couldn't understand that either.
Occasionally I get emails saying someone has written on my wall. I then have to go to Facebook to find a message that could have been emailed or imd!
Casey, what does it all mean? I used to think I had this computer stuff reasonably well worked out but I cannot comprehend Facebook at all.
As for hackers. What could they find out about me? Only really banal things I'm afraid.
John

PS I've had peach cobbler but that's the only kind I've ever seen in my part of the world.

I joined Facebook but I don't put much on it, just check in to see what's going on with some of my family and friends, I've never played any of the games and only have a few photo's in my profile.
I do follow some crafting sites and a few Windows ones as well but mainly out of curiosity, same as my Twitter account I haven't been there for a few days.

Reality stealing is already happening though

Most websites have at at least 3 third party tracking cookies, flash tracking cookies, hidden JavaScripts, hidden pixel.gifs etc.

Google is a big offender in this area. They own doubleclick.net tracking cookie site, have Google analytics everywhere, store all your search queries by IP address and make it impossible for you to remove your service history from a gmail account without deleting the entire account. I've stopped using Google for the most part and now stick to using HTTPS services with lots of ad blocking installed into Firefox.

That's not even including the obvious legal government monitoring

That's a thought perhaps if they steal my reality they'll take my debts with them as well, whoopee.

I just went through and cleared about 200 people off my face book.....I didn't realise I had so many random people on there.
