All Android phones are prone to fairly short battery life. Normal usage on mine - sending texts, phone calls, Internet browsing gets a full day out of mine at most, and that's a HTC Desire.
I expected that, being a smartphone.

But mine has had random days where it lasts significantly more or less.

Yea, same with mine. There is a calibration thing you can do, where you charge it to full, turn the phone off and charge it for another hour. Unplug it, turn it on for 2 minutes, turn it off and charge it for another hour, then turn it on and use it. Might just be a placebo effect, but it seemed like it lasted significantly longer.
Mine normally ends the day with around 30% battery, so it is not an issue, but that is an interesting test.

There are some cool ones out there, but it would be really cool if Motorola would update the Cliq (Dex) up to Andriod 2.x
While they are at it, make the stupid phone drain less battery, work faster, etc.

I am sorely disappointed with my phone, and will never buy another Motorola (this was their second chance).

I recommend htc even the lower spec models there very reliable
I will keep that in mind.

I have had good experiences with Samsung phones too.

HTC Phones generally get earlier updates, I have had 3 HTC's and there all great I have had a I900 but preferred Nexus One because of newer updates (Flash) my point is go with htc not Samsung android phones they are usually running older os (Unlocking it voids my contract)

    250+ solitaire collection.

Also, I love the pandora app.

On the side note, I am less than impressed with my first HTC, but it broke within warranty, and I got a new one. If this one goes well, I might invest in the next model when it comes out. Capacitive touchscreens leave much to be desired.

I find I'm using the HTC apps more and more on my Desire. I had Dolphin Browser for a while and I currently have Opera installed, with speed dial etc. However I keep picking the native HTC internet browser. Similarly, I've tried various music players and none are as easy to operate as the native music app. I suppose I have plenty of complexity on my pc, I just want basic functionality on my phone.
