    What would you have done?

I recently place an order With Tiger Direct some small computer items and two GTX 460 GPU’s. I decided to do something I normally don’t and paid to have all the items next day delivery.
Tiger quickly sent me tracking #’s one for the small items and another for the GPU’s. The next day around noon UPS shows up with two boxes all the small items accounted for in one box and correct tracking #. The other box contained only one of the GPU’s I ordered and the tracking # was different from the one sent in the email from Tiger. I contacted UPS and they said they felt the error lied with Tiger. I called Customer service explained the situation and the rep said he would get another sent out right away. By noon the following day (Saturday) I had not received a new confirmation email and decided to call again. This time I was told the order would have to be investigated a minimum of four days and up to four days after that to reship.
On Monday the doorbell rings and it’s the UPS guy one box, bigger than the first and correct tracking # I open it and there are two GTX 460’s inside. Now I have an extra GPU. What would you do keep it or send it back?

I'd make sure the two in the big box worked first. If they did ask if anyone needs a new graphics. Tiger Direct is rather stupid with there shipping, I have had to many problems with them myself let alone the staff over phone and in person.

Wait 4 days, plus another 4 days to see if they find there mistake. Sometimes you get a bonus for messed up orders. Recently got a Microwave oven mail order. The side case was bashed it but it worked, okay. They told me to dispose of it instead of sending it back, & they still sent a replacement.

First and formost I would send it to me since my birthday is in two days and soon I will be order two GTX 460's so I'll just need one

Personally, as bad as it may sound, I would so what Doc said. They made the mistake, see if they correct it. Working at a grocery store for the time being people and customers make mistakes which can lead to 100's of $'s of goods going out the door.

That's my take on it, take it or leave it.

In the big picture they probably would focus on other things, I would think.

Wait some time, then call and ask them if they want it back. 99% of the time they will say just keep it. It is much harder for them to send you a shipping label, track it and then add it back to inventory if their system states nothing is missing. -WS
