the incomparable stephen fry making observations back in 2001:

the whole clips are great - but for the purposes of this thread you'll need to fast-forward the first clip to 8 minutes, and finish by watching the second clip...

What is really scary is that spell check is evolving too.
See the attached snip from a previous post and you will notice that it did not pick any of the spelling errors where numbers have been inserted instead of letters.

I'm not happy that we use such words with almost no sense of there meaning or roots, but we all must learn to listen beyond the words for the intent and it is there we must make our determinations. I just think that we diminish ourself when we use any word too often and out of context. What drives me crazy is the made up political and economic phases that have permeated out society it makes understanding even legalize easy by comparison. Of course the reason for these new hybrid words is to throw us off track and to make things that in plain English or other languages that would be toxic and something to avoid suddenly re-phrased clean and desirable.

The thing is cheese, it's when I look beyond the words that scares me the most. What I see is the new generation of children who are completely narcissistic, empty headed and don't give a s**t about being that way. We finally have a generation of adults today that realize what is being done to our planet and are trying to do something about it, which of course is a futile effort as long as the rich people who control the planet don't care. What will the generation coming up behind us care about other than themselves. Have you by any chance asked a teenager lately to do a math problem in their head? I know I'm getting heavy here (insert joke here) but is it possible that the next generation is the generation that leads to the next extinction of the human race?
